How to Tie the Perfect Knot!

This trick is for anyone that has trouble making knots or bows on their cards.

Step 1: Punch hole where you want the knot to be.

Step 2: Feed each end of the ribbon through the inside of card to outside of card.

Step 3: Pull ribbon tightly through the hole. (Make sure the ribbon isn't twisted.)

Step 4: Place one end of the ribbon up and the other end down.

Step 5: Tie a knot and trim each end. Now you have the perfect knot! A bow could also be tied using this trick.

A Tag For My Tote

Okay so I finally gave in and ordered several packages of DSP including Maine Blueberry. Then I just had to make a tag for my convention tote since it is covered in the same prints. I didn't have any Not Quite Navy Craft ink for the chipboard letter so I used Not Quite Navy cardstock to trace and cut the "d" out. Then I covered the front of the "d" with Versamark and embossed with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. Next I adhered the embossed letter to the chipboard letter. Enjoy!
Supplies: All Stampin' Up!, Maine Blueberry DSP, Not Quite Navy cardstock, Soft Subtles Buttons, On Board Lots of Letters (d), Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Crystal Clear Embossing Powder, Versamark

3x3 Card Box and Scallop Square Tutorial

Yesterday I sat down and decided to make a this cute little box. It holds 3x3 cards. If you look at the box top you will notice that there is a square scallop on it as well as on the 3x3 cards. I played with the scallop square punch for a while, and I discovered that if you punch 4 out you can create a larger scallop square that measures 2 3/4'' x 2 3/4'' . It is perfect for make cute 3x3 cards. Enjoy my video tutorial of how to make the large scallop square, and here is the instructions I used to make the box: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ee/index.php/resources/tutorials/3x3notecardbox/

Just Jawing Circle Card

Here is another card I made with Just Jawing. I made the background by stamping "You Rock" on Going Gray randomly. I stamped the skull image twice on Whisper White. I cut out just the heart eyes on one, and then cut the entire image out of the other. Then I pressed the hearts into versamark and embossed with heat and stick powder. Next I added glitter to the hearts. I stamped the bow on pink passion paper with the versamark, then I used the heat and stick powder and glitter. Enjoy!

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!, Basic Black cardstock, Basic Gray cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Pink Passion cardstock, Basic Gray ink, Versamark, heat & stick powder, dazzling diamonds glitter, Coluzzle, Stampin' Dimensionals, Just Jawing stamp set
